Coach: Duane Evans

Duane was born and raised in Corbin, KY and graduated from Corbin High School. After graduating high school, he attended Sue Bennet College, playing baseball and football.  He married his wife Vicky in 1999 and they had two children, Jacob and Hannah.  They moved to Shreveport, LA and after losing touch with his health and fitness and gaining some unwanted pounds he renewed his passion for it in 2010.  He found CrossFit in 2012 after he and his family moved to Madison, AL.  He fell in love with the community and intensity of the workouts.  After seeing the incredible impact it can have for all people from every walk of life and his desire to help others improve their health and fitness he decided to become a CrossFit coach himself.  “CrossFit is a life changing movement.  It is a fitness regimen that is designed for every person from young to seasoned to improve their quality of life through exercise.  We all push through the same workouts together with blood, sweat and sometimes tears and at the end we become the community that IS CrossFit”.
