Meet Our Coaches

Owner and Coach: Sarah Longshore Hayes

–CrossFit Level 2 Trainer –American Council on Exercise (ACE) Personal Trainer–Fitness, Health, and Wellness Director Certification–Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education
–Master of Science in Health, Exercise Physiology–Precision Nutrition Coach

Sarah started her CrossFit career in 2012.  After her first CrossFit Games Open she competed in the South East Regionals team division in 2012. In 2016-2020, she qualified for the CrossFit Games Master Qualifier and finished in the Top 20, with a 1st place finish in 2018. She is a qualifier for the Kill-Cliff Granite Games and Wodapolooza with top 5 finishes.  She loves CrossFit for the camaraderie and also being able to watch athletes reach their goals.


Coach and Manager: Brad Blackmon

–CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

Brad started CrossFit in 2012. Prior to beginning CrossFit he participated in other physical activities such as BodyPump, Spartan Races, and wrestling during high school years. Brad graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Business Administration. Brad’s favorite thing about CrossFit is the community and being able to get through the work out together. His favorite movements are handstand push ups, deadlifts, and rope climbs. When he is not working out, you can find him outdoors going on hikes or runs, participating in obstacle course races, or wake surfing.   Brad qualified for the CrossFit Master’s Regionals in 2015 and 2016.


Coach: Duane Evans

–CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

Duane started CrossFit in 2012 after he and his family moved to Madison, AL.  He fell in love with the community and intensity of the workouts.  After seeing the incredible impact it can have for all people from every walk of life and his desire to help others improve their health and fitness he decided to become a CrossFit coach himself.  “CrossFit is a life changing movement.  It is a fitness regimen that is designed for every person from young to seasoned to improve their quality of life through exercise.  We all push through the same workouts together with blood, sweat and sometimes tears and at the end we become the community that IS CrossFit”.


Coach: Jeremy Bailey

–CrossFit Level 2 Trainer

Jeremy began CrossFit in 2015. He served four years in the United States Marine Corp. He has a degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Alabama. His favorite quote is “No train, No gain”. He is the General Manager of Empire Fitness.

Coach: Jory Jackson

–CrossFit Level 1 Trainer

“The reason I became a coach Is because I wanted to not only help increase or physical toughness but our mental toughness as well. Our mind will let us down far before our body does.” Coach Jory believes Consistency is key. “What do you enjoy in your free time? “When I get free time there are several things I like to do like shooting sporting clays, duck or dove hunting, fishing, or hanging out by the pool and grilling out. I’m always outside doing something.”
